What You'll Do
- Organize and lead all branch operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and customs regulations
- Manage and develop branch staff through hiring, training, and performance management
- Monitor branch performance, take corrective action as necessary, and drive towards revenue goals
- Oversee customs entries, duty payments, and ensure the timely clearance of inbound cargo
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to client calls and emails and addressing concerns
- Audit entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with customs requirements
- Support business development efforts and participate in client visits as needed
- Keep the team informed of regulatory changes and ensure appropriate training is provided
- Conduct regular staff meetings to maintain communication and alignment within the branch
- Provide after-hours assistance to staff and clients as required
What You'll Bring
- A valid Customs Brokerage License
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 5-10 years of customs brokerage experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software
- The ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities
