What You'll Do
- Use OCR software to process customs invoices and documentation, ensuring accurate data extraction
- Develop and update data-scraping templates to capture essential information from various document types
- Monitor and enhance OCR performance to improve speed and accuracy
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to data extraction and collaborate with IT as needed
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, making workflows more efficient
- Ensure compliance with Canadian Customs clearance and industry standards
- Provide training to team members on new tools and processes as they are introduced
What You'll Bring
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing operational needs
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
Preferred:
- 1–3 years of experience in Canadian customs clearances, OCR software, data extraction, or a related field
- Familiarity with OCR software, data scraping tools, and data validation processes
- Experience with logistics or customs clearance systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
